Ivorys

Has anyone killed a elk with more than 2 Ivorys. I killed a 5x5 in 2009 and it had 3 ivorys. I sent a e-mail to Colorado DOW with no response. Out of this same area a year later a guy killed one with four. Anyone else see this before?

3 is crazy but 4 is unreal! Never seen a bull with more than 2.

I couldn't believe it either that's why I thought DOW would be respond to my email. The next year one with 4 out of the same general area. Has to be  a gene in that herd somewhere. I just figured there has to be more than two elk with multiple ivorys.

That article is the one I seen. I hunt the same area. It was 2 years after I killed mine.
