Just ordered some judo points and was curious what you all use as a target when practicing with these. I assume a bag target would be a bad idea? Can you shoot them into a broad head target?

I shoot them at the ground. I shoot from my yard across the small ditch so the arrow stops. It will bounce or deflect off if it is too flat. I shoot an arrow each night when I head to the tree stand. I guess yardage to a leaf or grass clump and let one fly. Good realistic practice.

I\'m lucky enough to own a small farm. I have a horse that excretes enough good backstop material. I just pile it up with the tractor and shoot at it. Nuff said!

I go hiking and shoot all kinds of dirt balls and grass clumps and anything else that looks soft so I don\'t wreck arrows !

I also use them on small game with heads shot on chicken ect !! I\'ll often shoot on the way back to my truck or camp after a morning hunt. Open fields I like to shoot into the air and walk up to the arrow stuck into the ground much like golfing. It makes walking out enjoyable as you have something to do keeping your mind busy.

Most anything but a rock will make a good target:: leaf, clump of dirt, rotten stump, they all work. I most always have one in my quiver. At the least, I can take a shot at something from the tree stand before getting out.

Roving / stump shooting with Judo\'s is a great way to spend a couple of hours in the field with some pals. Somebody picks a target, lets loose at it and everyone follows with their shot. Closest to the mark picks the next target. Kind of like a game of Horse.
