Kentucky elk

Just paid my annual attempt (donation) to KY for their elk tag.

I'm pretty sure I have a better chance at drawing a bighorn sheep tag over the KY elk tag, but you cant win if you don't play!  :upthumb:

I'm right there with you.  I live in KY and it is very difficult to draw.  I lucked out in 2010 and got a rifle cow elk tag and was able to take a cow two days before Christmas.  Good luck!

yep  its a blessing and a curse with no points of any kind,  Ive applied a few times but have a low expectation for actually ever getting one.

Same here.. I live right on the border here in Virginia.  We are starting to get some noticeable numbers of elk here as well. Have seen some pretty nice looking bulls on reclaimed coal mine sites.  Hopefully Virginia will offer an elk hunt in the future.
