Hey guys..
looking to update my gear for this season, and i'm really torn as to what direction i should go in.. currently looking at Sitka or Kuiu, going to choose one of the two. I hunt in western Washington and my typical day starts out in clear cuts and then by about noon i'm beating the brush in the thick timber. setting the obvious camo differences aside my priorities in my hunting gear lie in 1. is it quiet. and 2. will it keep me dry? obviously kuiu sells direct so the noise factor is kind of hard to rule out. as of right now been doing a little research and if i were to go sitka i would get the 90% pant, jet stream jacket, and the Zip T. whereas if i went with Kuiu, I've heard nothing but good things about the attack pant, and then get either the guide or the yukon jacket. Curious to know what you guys think!

I'm curious about kuiu as well.  I have been doing some research the last few weeks and have read nothing bad about there gear except for availability.  I am looking real hard at there rain jacket and pants.

I have a pair of Attack pants in the vias pattern. I wore them last elk season and they held up well and kept me dry in the rain and wet grass. They're comfortable as hell too. The downside to KUIU is that they have massive backorders that seem to take eternity to get in. I've been waiting for the guide dcs jacket to come back in stock for several months. For this reason, i bought my first piece of First Lite gear. They are definitely worth a look too. The Kanab pant, which is what I actually just bought, is on sale right now, regular $180 on sale for $132 in ASAT camo pattern. As far as noise factor with KUIU, it's dead silent. Hope this helps.

I own a lot of Stika gear and love it. I have never had any issue with it.  I havent tried Kuiu but I hear good things about it. Either way you are getting good stuff.

the only way id buy sitka gear is off camofire.com other wise id buy KUIU for price the same guy started both companies so really its what you can payfor

im a deal watcher myself penny saved is a penny towards a future hunt lots of good sites out there wingsupply.com has great deals on tenzing packs right now its crazy

I would take a good look at the Timberline pant as well. Offers a little more weather protection with the reinforced knees and seat!

I like KUIU, but I have some buddies that swear up and down by Sitka... Its all in preference, my attack pants by KUIU kick serious ass in the climate I hunt (eastern and coastal range Oregon). The merino wool shirts are sweet, I don't have any of the new ones, the old ones are a little scratchy when you first put them on, but you get use to them quick. I have never tried their base layer, bought mine at cabela's on sale... The Icon Pack is awesome, it can be changed out with a larger pack and still keep the same carbon fiber frame...
