just looked at 2014 draw recaps. there are some leftover tags for deer in the unit i put in for for my second choice so i must have done something wrong. an looks like about 290 2nd choice tags for muzzleloader elk were drawn out of roughly 310 an my son was one of the unlucky 20 or so that didnt get drawn. reminds me of duck hunting back home. had to pick a number out of a box an whoever got the lowest numbers got to hunt. i rarely got a good spot. just dont draw well. oh well, hope i can get one of the few leftover tags for deer. but even if i dont my son wants to elk hunt with his bow so i prob wont have time to deer hunt anyway.
