How many of you bow hunters out there use lighted nocks on your arrows for hunting.

They are illegal in Oregon and I don\'t really know why.

They are illegal here in Colorado too.
They are fun to use for practice tho!
You can really see if your arrow is flying true

Brad do you know why they are illegal to use.

I don\'t see what the problem with them are, they give you no advantage in anything but tracking your arrow. I must be missing something some where?

bullrub, Its all about the \"no electronics\" attached to bow or arrow rule. The CBA doesn\'t want to give on the lighted nocks in fear that is the tip of the iceberg. This could be debated all day but mostly I think it is a few VERY active and VERY vocal older gents that hate the idea of them for whatever reason, mostly stubborness and closed minds blocking them IMHO.

I agree with Brad that they really are fun to shoot and will enlighten you to any flight issues you may have when shot in low light. Never used one on game in any of the states I hunt where they\'re legal, but wouldn\'t be against it.

I\'ve never used one ... they look like they would be great for practice, and I would think they would really help a person see his hit when shooting at animals.

They\'re legal in Wyoming, and I\'ve given thought to trying them.

Should I?

I myself have never used them either, but guys have asked me time and time again why they were not allowed.

Thanks for your input guys

Even tho lighted nocks have been illegal in many states, there is a \'shift\' in the thinking as Pope & Young now accepts lighted nock use in an entry.
