going deer hunting in a few weeks.

NM. i havent been on this ranch in years and years, but last hunt was QUAIL. he is overrun with the things. and cottontails. i cant believe i am just as excited for small game as i am on deer.

i\'m bringing an arsenal. shotguns, .22 pellet rifle, .22 rifle, my bow, my 257 weatherby...etc. handguns!!

deer season is 12th -16th. quail opens the 14th. i hope to have time to stay long to cull the quail herd.

i\'m gonna stop in LA to pick up a buddy for the drive into NM. i\'m gonna need a bigger truck.

What part of NM? Make it close to Raton and I\'ll drive down and take a few quail off your hands so you can keep hunting! That\'s just the kinda guy I am!

the first ranch i hunted was near Raton!! great area.

i\'ll be about opposite of you, in the SW. pretty much golf ball hit from Mexico. Rancher said he has a big flock of Gould\'s turkey. but they are \"no go\" no matter how often i read the proclamation.

sweet, i grew up quail hunting, quail are virtually gone in mo but man were they fun to hunt. i miss that
