This last saturday, I hosted a bow shoot to raise money for kids going to camp this summer with Young Life. The shoot was hosted out at Beck Ranch in Middleton, ID and featured 20 3D targets. While it was a great event, there was a cold, blustering wind that averaged 20 MPH with gusts up to 30 MPH which made for a smaller turnout and very difficult shooting. Those who showed up were in great spirits and had a wonderful time. Shooters ranged in age from 7 to 50+ years old. A huge thanks goes out to Elk101.com for their support in donating prizes for our shooters! Other supporters included Onyourownadventures.com, Dead-On Archery shop, Rinehart targets, Delta McKenzie targets, First Lite clothing, Sportman's Warehouse, and Pampered Chef. We were able to raise just over $700.00 for kids to earn scholarship money towards camp and look forward to hosting an annual event each spring.
