Missouri Breaks

We drew unit 410 in MT this year! Can't wait. Any of you guys had any good hunts in the breaks? Iv heard of it being a better area back in the day (before it got popular and real crowded). Think that's true or is it still a great area??

I hunted it a couple years back.  I saw more bulls than cows.  Ended up shooting a nice six.  Lots of fun.

There is always talk of killing the 400 in there but I wouldn't pass on a 350 hoping for that chance.  Some great bulls in there but don't get too greedy.  Seem to hear more about guys passing 4 or 5 350 to 360 bulls trying to hold out for the big guy.  When it comes down to it find the bull for you and don't hold back.

Yeh I won't pass on anything medium size. I'm still a green elk hunter. Just pumped we've got the chance to go!... Heard a lot about the breaks.      GSP... I think we  had 2 PPs. We tried for it in 2012 and 13 but were  unsuccessful. I don't think we applied for it last year just had planned on going back to L and C NF (south of the little belts).
