I was lucky enough to draw a Big game Combo general tag for Montana this year. I hunted unit 432 a few years back, had some encounters with some elk but we were unable to cash in. Planning to be out 10 days and give this area another shot.
I've been researching using ONX, my gohunt subscription, reached out to a wildlife biologist and got some info and also used the montana FWP site to gain additional info.
Wondering if anyone else out here has any further information they'd be willing to share about the elk herd in the area? Success or failures if you've hunted the unit before?
From what i've gathered i have a pretty good game plan set but still a few things i'm trying to piece together.
