Movement or smell

What do you worry more about?
I understand we should be worrying about both at all times, but what do you focus on more?

Some may be worried about being winded or scent proofing stuff.
Some may be worried about camo, stand placement, blind concealment.

Some don\'t care about scent because they play the wind.
Some don\'t care about movement because they use it to their advantage.

So... what do you worry more about?

For me it would be the wind. You can hunt the wind but sometimes it can change unexpectedly and if they smell you its over. Movement I feel you can get away with some.

Playing the wind is number one with me, and that is worrying about my smell. No matter what you do. You\'ll always smell like a human.

Wind by a mile. You can fool an elk\'s eyes, but you will never fool his nose.

Wind.... I watched the wind more carefully last year and moved a lot slower when I was in good areas. It worked as planned.

I worry about Swede peeing on me from his tree stand!

It is tough to be mindful of being seen or smelled when you have to keep looking up.

Certainly wind. Sometimes I am concerned about being seen, and sometimes I can put my mind at ease, knowing I am well positioned to avoid the elks eyes. That applies to both the tree stand and to the ground. Even when I select a tree and position my stand, wind is always a major consideration.

Wind always. Both are important for the WTs around here they don\'t let you get away with anything. In CO this past fall, I got close to several MDs including some nice bucks by just keeping the wind in my favor. Wished they could have been bulls! Seems like the western game allows a little more movement than the critters around here do but I don\'t believe either (east or west) will tolerate smelling you.
