Mule deer seasonal movement

For everyone who hunts mule deer, what type of pattern are they in around late October, early November?
I know they rut later than whitetail (at least year in NM) but at the time I mentioned above, what are you doing to get into them?



Hit the high grounds and glass? Then follow them to bed?

Definitely lots of glassing. They move out of the stuff I call \"high grounds\" pretty early in the bow season here in CO. In the pinon/sage/juniper stuff they tend to hang in around me a ton of time behind glass is necc. when bowhunting unless you\'ve got them patterned.

I\'m going to do a lot of scouting around august, september and early October time frame. Then head out before my hunt a few days early and hope they keep the same pattern.


Will, when you glass do you use just binos? Spotting scope? Or both?

Scope when I have it. Binos for close range( 500 and under) only. good luck!
