my daughter, bitter sweet

its a very bitter sweet moment for me today. my daughter just sent me a pic of a turkey she killed back in mo this morning. im so happy an proud of her. the lessons an things i did with her are a part of her. on the other hand, this was her first hunt ever without me being there, an she was with her boyfriend. aw the emotions of growing old.

Congrats on her turkey. My daughter was about the same way. She was my hunting buddy for about 4 years, then she got her first car, found out about boys and that was that. The last year she hunted with me, we were on a stand watching an area and she looks at me and said \" are you going to just sit here all day \". And I knew she wasn\'t going to hunt with me again and she hasn\'t and she\'s 32 years old now.

good for her on the turkey kill. At least you taught her growing up in the outdoors and she is still enjoying it. You will never forget those memories with your daughter.
