So I had some time to putter. Decided to make an alcohol stove from an aluminum water bottle that I had on the shelf.
I got my dremel set up and started.
I used tape on a ruler and marked out for the holes

I then measured the height of the holes and scored the aluminum to make a line

Then I measured where the holes should go. They need to below the straight wall

Next I put the marked tape around the bottle to drill the holes.

Now I measure and mark for the overall height of the stove

I need to cut 2 small grooves on the end for the fuel to transfer out

Two notches. Be sure they are deep enough for good fuel transfer

Now it\'s time to cut
I like to cut thru the tape as it keeps the shavings down

Light the stove and it will heat. The flame will be in the center until the convection takes over and then the flame will come out the holes. It usually takes about 45 seconds for this

I found some scrap aluminum strips to make a handle and a pot holder. I grooved them so I can take apart for storage

I also grooved so it would sit on the stove and not move

Everything stores in the pot.
It boils 2+ cups of water in 3 min. That\'s faster then my microwave.
2oz will burn for 6-7 min so I think I may reduce the fuel to 1.5 oz.

The total weight of pot, stove and accessories is 5 oz.... Not including fuel

I watched some youtube videos to get started.
This cost me nothing to do, I had all the pieces and parts.
I like the thicker aluminum wall instead of a pop can.

I liked it so much, I found another water bottle and made one more :)
