Good luck this morning. It\'s cold, clear and calm here in Missouri - killed many a deer on mornings just like this. 10 degrees sure does make the gutting job a little more interesting though
We bundled up with layers and headed to the stands.
I no sooner got into the trees and 2 WT pop up and trot off and stop!
I pull off my wool lined leather mittens, took a knee, aimed.....
CLICK!!!!
Guess who forgot to put a primer in the gun!!!!
Well the deer had enough of this and bounded away.
We sat for about an hour and we moved to a bottleneck.
Cole set up there and I made a big hook and eased back toward him
I saw another deer and it was headed toward Cole.
I kept going and I could see lots of fresh tracks.
It wasn\'t long and the deer were bunched up and I knew Cole was near them.
Then they all broke loose.
Prob 20 or more!
About this time a doe had snuck behind Cole
No shot was presented to Cole but we had deer everywhere.
We drove to another spot and got into 2 more does but they didn\'t stand for any shots.
So
Here ends my 2015 Nebraska WT hunting for the season
