Hunting MT in November and would like suggestions on a stove capable tent.  I?d like to keep it under 1500$ total. Thanks all

Are you looking to pack it?  Truck camp?  This would help on getting some advice.

As Don mentioned, a lot depends on if you are trying to lug it into the back country or if you will be camping off a road. Also, where are you located? If you are in Montana, my answer might change to utilize a local company.

Since it's November, I'm going to assume you are truck camping and I'm also making the assumption you don't live in Montana. If that's the case, it's tough to go wrong with a Davis Wall Tent. If you take care of them, they will last for years (we have one that's going on 25+ years). And you should be able to keep it under $1,500 for a basic 14x16 tent if you do the traditional pole system or if you cut your own poles for an internal frame (which is what I would recommend if you live in a distant state).

if your wanting to pack it , the kifaru sawtooth is pretty hard not to look at especially where its in your budget  i to was going to go with a wall tent.. seemed for nostalgic reasons if for nothing else.. but that wall tent weighs upwards of 200 lbs ..  with these stove capable tipis weighing in under 8lbs  it changed my focus really quick.. not trying to sound like a kifaru cheerleader here.. i hear seek outside makes a good tipi as well but i went with kifaru  been around longer      my two cents

If you're truck camping, get a Kodiak Canvas. They are insanely easy to setup, and they are virtually indestructible. Throw a propane heater in there, open a few vents, and it'll turn into a sauna in no time.

I agree with the previous post, if looking to pack I would highly consider a Kifaru Sawtooth with a stove. Super tough and rugged gear made in CO

I live in MT and camp into December in some spots.  Where abouts general area?  That can also depend on what style of tent due to a potential snow load.

Most folks if having a general base camp have wall tents from valley floor to higher elevations.  Also what time of November as the first two weeks can vary GREATLY from the last two weeks leading into December.

I suggest if truck camping at a home base location, to look into

They are quality tents and are on sale from last years stock right now in fact. You can get into a super spacious tent or one with just enough room for a few guys and gear, plus a stove for under $1500.

If you are packing in that obviously is a different story. Kifaru makes an amazing product that works well.  Although if it?s actively snowing snow load can pose an issue at times.

Due to some difficulties I had in Afghanistan, I have had to go very light weight I am using a 4 man Pyramid from My Trail co. I just use the outer shell and a titanium stove. My son and I used it a year ago  on an Idaho late season deer hunt and stayed toasty. Great for packing in, but if you don't need light, maybe a sheep herder tent. Good luck and have fun researching.

I had Jimmy from Jimmy tarps put a stove jack in the tent.
Jimmy now has a sweet pyramid tent called the Hudson with a stove pipe jack already sewn in you should look at.

Second the Sawtooth, + TiGoat wifi small stove will warm things up nicely.  very nice being able to get suited up, standing up, in a warm tent.

Purchase a floorless (seek outside) last year so I can eventually add a stove.  Loved the light weight.  was a bit weird setting it up the first time and not having a floor but it was awesome.
I would also look at the sawtooth. looks like a great setup for a couple of guys.
