Nevada Puts New Rules in Place for Trail Cameras

I can't imagine this will effect too many people here in NV. I've never even seen one while hunting before.

There's folks I know from a trail camera forum I watch that have more cellphone cameras that I have elcheapo's....
I've got 8. 1 in the area of each of our stands...
I don't see how folks afford the phone bill with all those cameras...
By the way I'm back to firing on all 8 with the occasional misfire from time to time... But all in all looking forward again to a bit of deer hunting this fall... Duck hunting is still on hold as of now but who knows... It could happen...

I saw on FB some guy saying that this is a great thing cause Trail Cams take away from fair chase. My feeling is that in order to hang trail cams I have to go out to the woods with my boots on and scout areas that are ideal. Once I hang a cam I can't wait to get back out there to check them and scout out new areas to relocate cams that appear to be not producing. I feel like it forces me to do more scouting. I have only harvested 2 elk since I started using trail cams and I can say that they did not lead to my harvest. More than anything I have really just enjoyed seeing all the critters from turkey, bobcats, bears, deer and elk doing there thing on there. I just wish people would see that it is just another piece of technology we use such as cams on our bows, optics on muzzles, and rifles.

I?ve used cameras for years to try to take an accurate survey of what critters we have using our area.. I can honestly say my trail cameras have never kill anything or allowed me or my kids to kill anything. In Arkansas as it is in other states there are limits set for what you hunt. Sometimes I kill my limit, sometimes I don?t. But the cameras just set there and give us a semi accurate account of what?s roaming the area. And to be honest I?ve kill more deer that we never got pictures of than deer we have pictures of.. I guess I enjoy the surprise when it presents itself...
