Shoot everything within your budget. Also don?t be afraid to look at classifieds as can get a good deal. Too many good bows out there. I like the prime logic/centergy and the elite ritual for newer bows. Haven?t shot the 28? ATA triax, heard good things about it from everyone who has, but I prefer longer ATA as I like to practice shooting as far as I can.

Echoing what big44a4 said.... go find a shop and shoot everything that you possibly can.

I prefer short ATA where others prefer long.
Some prefer limb stops where others prefer cable stops.

I?m a fan of the PSE bows with their Evolve cam. 80-90% letoff and adjustable draw length. You can also get low letoff mods and go from 65-75% letoff. They have several models with different ATA?s, prices, etc.

Tough question as there's lots of great bows out there.  Even harder to figure out if you're not buying new as it's hard to shoot used bows.  I'm lucky in that I know a couple guys that shoot a lot and know a lot so I get most of my info from them as I'm in the market to upgrade but think you can get a used 3-4 year old bow and a great "discount" compared to new bows.

The best bow is the one you feel most comfortable behind. Fitment is key to an accurate and confident setup. Personally I like long ATA bows, string angle for me allows me to maintain good form and 3 points of contact at draw (String: tip of nose, corner of mouth and then release hand on jaw bone).


Shooting the new Hoyt RX-1 Ultras this year, for me they have giving me the utmost confidence and accuracy out of any of my previous rigs (Prime Rival, Rival LD, Carbon Defiant 34, Arena 34, Anarchy HC & Single cam).

I?ve been looking awefully hard at the Prime Logic.  Shoots terrific I am just too nervous to mess with anything that?s working right now.  I got into my own head haha!
