New Mexico Draw Information

Rookie elk hunter here,


The only archery hunting I've done is for whitetail in Iowa, but I'm looking for a new challenge. So, with that said, I know very little about the draw and how to best go through with it.


I have been in contact with one particular outfitter, and plan on applying through them, but was wondering if there is anything else I can do to heighten the likelihood that I am drawn? 


Do people submit through various outfitters?

you can apply by yourself and you have a good chance in drawing but with an outfitter your chances go up.  Do your research in your outfitter and look around for more options if you need to.  there are lots of good Outfitters out in NM that are willing to help you out.  look us up at www.SantaFeGuidingCo.com if you need anymore help!!  Happy Hunting
