New to Elk hunting, and help on CO otc Archery units would be awesome

yountagg13, if it were me I would focus my scouting on 42, 421, and 43. I have never hunted any of these areas, but with that you have three units right next to each other. That should give you a ton of area to cover over your scouting and hunt.
For your scouting trip, follow Corey's methods and get a bunch of those good looking areas to check out. And when you get there, I would cover as much ground as physically possible trying to find some elk, fresh sign, and signs of rut areas as you will be hunting right in the middle of the rut.
