Newbie help with Southern Idaho Units

For those that are in or are familiar with Idaho. South Hills zone. Specifically unit 54 and 55 I'm trying to use Google earth like the material says to but I am having a hard time finding similar things as he shows in the tutorial. Areas I am considering. Independence Lakes south of Burley, Idaho but that is a pretty touristy spot and the second is Pike mountain just south of Twin Falls. I am well aware its kind of Taboo to ask these questions but any suggestions specific to these areas would be amazing since I have NO CLUE what I am doing! I have not gone to either of these places in person but plan to this weekend, just trying to prep ahead of time to make this weekend as efficient as possible.

:welcome:  to the forum from MS! Sorry I'm no help on your area but pick multiple locations with different variables (ele, cover, water, etc) and have it planned to check each out in that order. Sometimes just driving up to a parking lot can help me cross of an area at least for that day.
