I had an older Nikon Prostaff 440 rangefinder, used the crap out of it for many years.
Cant even remember if I bought it new or used.
I noticed that the clarity wasnt what it should be, so I called Nikon and sent it in a few weeks ago - without any warranty documentation.
I recieved an email notifying me that to service the unit would cost $110
I replied to authorize the repair.

Yesterday a package shows up and upon opening it there is a brand new Nikon 550 Prostaff rangefinder!

I went from this - to this!
Thanks Nikon

Sent back a 10 yr old scope that I bought used...they sent me a new scope free of charge. ..can\'t beat that for customer service

Good deal, Brad!

Had a good experience with some Nikon binos that leaked on one side; very quick, free, and easy replacement from Nikon Customer Service.

Sweet. I sent in a camera lens that I had bought used once. I was surprised when it was a warranty repair. It was a pricey lens, so I guess thaey thought better of sending me a new one! :) Still, I guess the original owner had registered it and had an extended warranty. I was a happy camper!

I know this thread is about Nikon but the same holds true for Burris.

I had a set of older Burris 8x32 with the old style fold down rubber eye cups. The rubber had dry rotted so I sent them in to have the eye cups replaced. To make a long story short, they told me they didn\'t have the replacement part anymore and they were sending me a new pair of 10x42s. That\'s standing behind your product!

Several years ago I had the same thing happen to a set of Pentax 10x42 DCF. I sent them in for repair. About a month later, they sent them back with a note saying \"tough luck, we no longer make repairs on that style\"!

The new warranty replacement binoculars arrived this morning. Instead of Burris, they sent me a new pair of roof prism 10x42 Steiners. I\'m very pleased. A big thumbs up to Burris and their products.
