Not a creature was stirring

Have you ever found a water hole where you hoped one would be. On a scouting trip this past weekend I found a water hole within 500yds of a bedding area, within 1000yds of a feeding area, and within 750yds of a ridge that has produce at least 4 elk for me or my family in the past. The hole is on a northish facing slope covered in timber, 3/4 of a mile from a road. As far as I can tell its in the perfect spot. Unfortunately I didn't see any elk sigh in the area. So the trail cameras were hung with great care in hopes that a big 6 would soon be there

No, I live in SW Idaho. I guess the old saying about the elk being where you find them is true.

If i was a betting person i would say you will get some activity on your camera on the next week or two
