There are times when Im back in camp and not hunting.
And I like to stay busy.

Here I made a new campfire bench, split wood and raked up...

What do you like to do for \'down time\' in camp?

If I am back at camp and not hunting, more than likely I am getting a little nap in. We try to get all of our wood split a day or two before the season starts so that we don\'t have to worry about it. We all pitch in on cleaning up around camp, but outside of that the time would be spent on potentially strategizing for the evening hunt or starring at a map hoping something POPS out that I haven\'t noticed before :)

Like you, I tidy up, or organize things. Odd, no matter how little I bring to camp, and how often I clean up, it still gets messy.

Last year, it was nice to drag everything out of the tent to dry out if there was some sun/wind.

I like to get a large topo map of my area ... then I spend the mid-day and evening hours writing down what I did on the back of it. It serves as a journal of sorts, and I can reference this or that on the front of the map.

If there are horses in camp, letting them graze while I get some sun is nice.

Brad, the more I look at that bench that you just \'threw together\', the more I think you should just build yourself a quick log cabin on one of your breaks! Hahahaha!

Brad - how would you like to come with me and not hunt? :lolno:

No kidding! You could get some first class furniture AND, if you are lucky, get him to do one of his walleye cookouts!

Brad, I like the bench but I like the looks of that frying pan! It looks like it could fry up some walleye!

Dagnabbit Brad! Here we go again with the sizzling fillets! All I gotta say is you better bring out a few next month! Mix up a few with some turkey tenders & a cold one.....or three.... Oh Yaaa! :upthumb:
