Did you post from you phone also? I think it might have to do with the direction the pictures were taken in relation to the way you hold the phone when you upload and post the photos. For example if the pics are vertical try holding the phonethe same when posting.

I think you are spot on. The funny thing is it looks fine in Safari on my iPad but horizontal in my Chrome Browser on my laptop.
