I woke up this morning and heard water gushing.....
I walked around the house and found nothing, so I checked outside. Turns out I had a new lake installed last night while I was sleeping.

After wading around in a foot and a half of water, I found a water main in the alley that had some cap broken off and a solid 3\" line wide open pouring water out. :wtf:

I called the water company to have it shut off, now starts the fun day of figure out what this exactly is, who fixes it, and how much :upthumb:

Oh well! Life is like hunting, it wouldn\'t be fun if it was always easy :D

I hope everyone has a great day!

haha I wish some ducks would land in my back yard!

The leak is taken care of and it doesn\'t look like the cost will hurt too much...

dan, now you are enticing me with nm duck hunting.......! i know i need a vacation..... :D

Durin\' duck season I have ducks that land in my backyard on a regular basis... :D ;) :D ;)

Phil,
sounds like a prime location!

Living in NM has shown me that we have VERY good duck hunting, but none fly into my yard :downthumb:

I somehow still have doves in my backyard, even after all of this cold weather. I don\'t remember them being there in years past, but it is very tempting to whip out the BB gun and pop one off of the fence every now and again  I\'d hate to get in trouble with the neighbors, but the thought of bacon and jalepeno wrapped dove breasts with a splash of cream cheese are very tempting this time of year! :D

Instead, I guess I\'ll just wait until Sept 1 and drive three hours away to do the same thing :haha:

I also have doves in my yard. But they are not Morning Doves or Turtle Doves which are protected and have a season to hunt them. Instead, they are a European version that has a ring around their neck. They are slightly larger than regular doves but not much. Actually, there is no season on them. So get out the BB gun and bacon and have yourself a feast.

Interesting Bill, I knew there was no bag limit on the Eurasians, but didn\'t realize there was no season on them...

After looking it up, you don\'t even have to have a license to hunt them! That is even more interesting. I guess the DOW really wants them gone.
