Oklahoma mule deer

So where I hunt we have whitetail, mule deer, and hybrids.

I still have zero true experience with mule deer, but if either of these guys walked by me, they would get it!

He was walking around with 3 does.



What would something like this score? I\'m guessing around 100\"?



Also, how do you count him? To me he is a 10 point, but I know a lot of you will disagree. :haha:

I would agree with Will and Brad. A 5x5 and at least 135. He would look good on the wall next to your whitetails from last year!

I\'m thinking more like 125\". Here are some bucks in velvet ranging from 150-160\" just as a reference.
Still a very nice muley. I\'m guessing you\'re in western OK. I used to hunt near Woodward but it seemed the mule deer were further west.

Those are beautiful mule deer and you are correct, this is western OK.

Dan, I killed a western OK mule deer in 2010. I was below the panhandle near Shattuck. I have a couple of friends that married well to women who\'s families have big ranches in the panhandle. They have both killed BIG mule deer.

Not sure where you are hunting but a good friend of mine from college is a game warden in either Cimarron or Texas county.

I am south of those counties, Aaron.

We have a couple big ones I am sure.
We have a good mixture of whitetail and mule deer out there.
