Outdoor gear problems?

For me, hunting season has been over for a while now and I like to take a step back and see what gear I can improve on. That said, what pieces of your equipment do you think need improved, or even made,to make you a better hunter?

I usually pack all my gear as though I'm heading into the backcountry and see how it fits into the pack. Does it sit well? Is it noisy? Does it get in the way of my bow when I'm drawing back. I hike around with 80lbs so I can really see how it feels weighed down on my back. I set up my sleeping gear in the worst weather to see how it performs. I also test out my rain gear by standing out in the pouring rain. As hunting season approaches I know where I need to make my improvements to make the backcountry experience as smooth as possible. That being said, I always expect Murphy to make an appearance.

Mine is not what needs improved but what can be left at home. Over the years, I've trimmed down my pack by a good 10# by leaving stuff at home that I thought I needed last time and never took out.

Better tarps & maybe extra set of rain gear after last years 6 days of thunder/lightning/constant downpours.....
