Looking to do an elk hunt. Preferably a drop camp style. Can't get friends that want to get away from a lodge though! Wondering if anyone knows of any outfitters that accept just one guy for a drop camp style rifle elk hunt!
It's been my experience that most of the outfitters I've known or read their info, want a minimum of 4 hunters to put you in a drop camp. If you're a single, you could probably get put into a camp with other hunters though? If you were wanting to have all the provisions of a drop camp alone, the outfitter would have to do almost the same amount of work for one person, as a group. If he charges $1600 for a drop camp, instead of quadrupling his fees, he'd be making just the $1600.
