[Venting] Last week my wife was at a client\'s home. She came out to find the owner\'s dogs had pinned a rabbit under her vehicle, they were both underneath the vehicle barking. She shewed the dogs away and the rabbit took off. She hadn\'t driven her car again until Monday and had stopped to get gas just before she got home. Well, I came home a few minutes after she had gotten home and noticed gasoline pouring down my driveway. We quickly assessed the situation and decided pushing the car into the street was logical. We had the car towed to a dealership that afternoon.
The dealership called me to ask what had been chewing underneath. ???
Turns out the rear CV boot was punctured, the fuel neck where it connects to the tank was chewed up and partially separated from the tank, the mud flap was destroyed and some plastic piece underneath had been chewed up.
I contacted the owners to see if they would be willing to file a claim under their homeowners insurance and they claimed their dogs would never do such a thing. After asking if they were accusing my wife of lying, he hung up on me.
Looks like I get to file a claim with my auto insurance and eat the $500 deductible. :help2:
