Cliff,

How do you like the E35? I used to shoot a couple elites and like a idiot got rid of them. The GTO and Agil is what I had and that was before Elite was starting to get really popular. I would like to see how the newer Elites compare.

V.

thanks for the question. i used to shoot a mathews Z7. as my shoulder aged and got worse, the hot-rod cam of that bow was too much for me to handle. if i even relaxed anything, even mentally that cam would try to rip out of my hands. it hurt me. i missed my beloved Mathews switchback XT.

that E35 is kinda similar. very smooth cam. very smooth on the draw. i think that cam has tried to yank the string from me 3 times in the entire time i have owned the bow. the Z7...three times a day was normal.

i love the bow. downside..it is a heavy turd. god it\'s heavy. i am used to it, and the weight is making me aim steadier. but i would be a liar if i didnt say i occasionally curse the weight..especially on the mountain..i wuss out a lot and end up tying the bow to my pack. one day it will curse me when a buck jumps out in front of me and stops. but on the hikes out, i typically strap the bow up. not smart. the longer ATA makes it so accurate for me. i can NOT shoot for a long time..and pick the bow up. the first four shots will be bad..and boom..i am right back to shooting great. once i remember trigger control and not dropping my bow arm.

it is a super accurate bow. i killed a deer at 62 yards last year. i remember letting down at 70 on lots of deer before. this bow inspires confidence. it was easy to tune. really easy to tune.

and as a hunt bow..it does one thing really well. i can slowly let the bow down without much fanfare. i think a hunting bow needs to let down easy..as easy as the draw. sometimes the animal doesnt cooperate and we need to let down and wait more. it is bad if the let down is jerky and the animal sees the movement. if my bow was a 60 lb draw..i can let down halfway and pull back up..the cam is that smooth.

my SBXT shot 260 fps.
my Z7 shot 267
and this E35 shoot 273..so i didnt give up much speed with the more forgiving cam. it is a good bow.

customer service..dunno. i know you cant buy an ELITE ball cap to save your life. and when they are in stock..they are like $30..dumb. really dumb.

my next bow will probably be a carbon Hoyt..i want a lighter bow. hahahha..

Cliff,

Winchester model 70. .270 caliber :D

As for the kitchen, it was the selling point for the house.

shit..

that is a nice kitchen. and i have the same rifle..duh. post 64 winny in 30.06. hahha..knew it looked familiar.

Elky, thanks for writeup re: Mathews vs Elite. My mathews jewel or my stupidity led to 2 tears in my bow shoulder. I have struggled since then. Next year, I am considering an Elite Spirit since many women with shoulder issues are having success with the Spirit. I have worked on my deltoids, but shoulder issues continue.

The Jewel is not a well balanced bow. I never had an issue with torquing for my first bow. I fight torquing with the Jewel. It needs a side stab, however, I am reluctant to add more weight to it.

Dan, great kitchen. It just needs a gas stove. Sorry, I hate electric stovetops which I have currently. Your kitchen invites cooking.

I couldn\'t agree anymore. I can\'t stand the electric stovetops.
When I get my next house, I want gas. Cleaning an electric stove can be a pain too.

I bought the house specifically so I can cook somewhere nice. I can sleep anywhere, but cooking needs to be done in a happy place.
