Pre shot routine

Just curious what everyone's pre-shot routine is.  I try to practice drawing back as slow as possible and practice using a mouth call to simulate stopping an animal before settling in and releasing an arrow.  Sometimes I'll throw in a long hold before taking the shot.

Long hold every time a cow call to stop them for me. 3minutes of holding.
Funny thing is, I practice drawing my bow as quickly and smoothly as possible (exactly opposite of you lol). I'd rather draw early and hold, I guess

3 minutes is boss, i would need some adrenaline to get me that far! I work on finding my mark, making sure the pin holding steady, check me level, then let her fly.

I practice long and short holds.  In my opinion, Shooting off both knees while sitting on my feet works best for shots where you cant stand up.

Good ideas.  Thanks for sharing.

I try to fully envision the shot:  standing there, elk starts to walk in, he passes behind a tree, I draw, he keeps going and stops in a nice shooting lane, I check my level and aim right above the front leg, I release and watch the arrow disappear in his chest...

Just like athletes who mentally walk through their events.
