I pulled the trigger last Saturday on a Badlands 2800 and it will be at the house when i get home from work today. The day is dragging already. I have a friend that says I'm worse than a kid at Christmas.

Rich I'm stopping by the house on my lunch break IM going to try that pack out for you.....

Jim - I can't wait to try it out!! It's my first time planning an elk hunt, so getting gear is half the fun.

bird dog - plow the drive way while you are there. We got 6" more wet heavy snow last night.

New packs are among my favorite pieces of gear! I used a badlands hypervent for the last 4 years - served me very well, although it was too small for packing out a big load. Very rugged packs that took every bit of abuse I could dish out.

Got it - Love it so far. I'm going to get a couple sand bags and go for a hike tonight. I can't believe how much better built they are compared to cheaper packs.

So far so good. I have about 15 lbs in it so far and I am hiking through the snow. I'm looking forward to more weight.

Congrats on picking up a fine pack.  I've got the 2200 and love the strength and fit of the pack.  I've used it several times packing out the first load of meat.  I've had a couple zipper pulls break but nothing that affects the functionality of the pack.  Once I have something that breaks that I actually need for the pack to function correctly I'll be sending it back and testing out the warranty.
