Purchased a side of beef

Wasn\'t sure how many others here will buy a beef cow or part of one in addition to game meat you\'ve harvested.

Found a guy in Alamosa that raises beef. Ended up with a 1/4 beef of burger, steaks and roasts - 125 pounds for $500 or $4/lb. This is a grass fed, no grain/hormones/antibiotics raised cow. Everything has been great and much, much better than store bought unless you\'re shelling out serious cash at Whole Foods.

If anyone in Denver/Colorado Springs area would be interested next year, just give me a shout and we\'ll get you added to his wait list. We\'re absolutely doing another 1/4 or 1/2 next year.

Cliff, I could probably ship to you and only add about $2/lb. I got 65 lbs of halibut plus packaging from AK to CO for roughly $100 with my discount. Things that make you go \"hmmmmmm?\"!

I don\'t eat a lot of beef.
But when I do it\'s gonna be a medium rare steak from a corn fed cow that has marbleized fat oozing from it.

I eat LOTS of healthy, grass fed, lean meat and the beef steak is a slice of heaven compared to that

I bought a \"happy\" free range chicken once. It cost me $22. It was great and not all soft and pillowy like a large scale bird farm produces.

Yep we are some of those damn Cowboys all the hunters cuss for rounding up cattle but the fresh steaks and roasts help me eat away my hurt feelings
