My To-Do list is miniscule compared to last year...I\'m rather enjoying it. One thing I\'d like to do though is replace the foam in my quiver, it got chewed up last year!

Can anyone recommend something that would be a good alternative?

How to you prevent the broadheads from chewing up the foam?

(I tried putting the broadheads back in the quiver in the same orientation but that only lasted for about the first two setups...then I just jammed them in and moved on to the next spot)

Get one of those foam pool noodles.
Cut a piece to shape
Perfect material for a quiver

You can always buy replacement inserts. Another idea is the expanding aerisol spray on insulation.

When trimming foam inserts, it is a lot easier to soak them in water and place them in the freezer. Once they are frozen it is easy to trim them with a jigsaw.

x2 on the pool noodle.

In fact this time of year most walgreens or riteaids have their summer stuff on clearance (usually 50% off or more). If you are looking to make your own cheap bugle tube they have kid\'s baseball bats included in that clearance section. Just picked one up the other day, a couple cuts with a knife and some camo duct tape, BOOM, 2 dollar bugle, haha.

That pool noodle idea is great!

I finally broke down and bought a Tight Spot Quiver...great Product! High end materials all the way around...the foam is still excellent after two Years. I used to lose arrows every Year going through oakbrush, deadfalls, etc...haven\'t lost an arrow since I bought it. :upthumb:

Ditto! Love the Tightspot, however, I needed to use crazy glue to get the insert to stay in place.

3 years with the Tightspot and the insert is doing very well. I\'ll never bother with another quiver again. Even with my bow strapped to my backpack for a trek in for a spike camp, I have never lost arrows or damaged the quiver.

i like the Tightspot. cant say i love it.

my Mathews T5 quiver was a better product. quieter. i had to use silicon to get the hood insert on my TS to shutup. now, if i dont get the arrow pushed up into the divot hard, it will still rattle like a maracha.

Alpine soft-loc is a great cure for loose arrows, has a double gripper so you don\'t even need foam like when using expandables.

:upthumb: That is the quiver I use and I just bought a NEW one off ebay for my son for $15. I like the two holds on the arrow and it is quiet to remove from my bow in the stand.
