I am planning on a drop camp next year in Colorado and was wondering if anyone had any experiences good or bad with any outfitters there ? Thanks

Been checking daily but with no luck in anyone answering. Have you ever been elk hunting ? I went last year for the first time and had no luck and am planning a drop camp for next year !

Never usedthem but Winterhawk Outfitters has drop camps...they are well known and getting references shouldn't be too difficult. This will make our sixth year going to Colorado as a DIY hunt. We have taken two bulls in five years and hope to add another one or two this year. Only two of us hunt. Do not know your history, but you may consider a DIY. Either way good luck with your hunt.

Leaving tomorrow for OTC archery to the last day...

PA i have been elk hunting in co but it was private property when i was a teen. most of my elk hunting experience come from Idaho and we are looking to branch out colorado is definatly a go back to state  just want more info on outfitters there aside from what the state has to say about them

The bigger outfitters run a lot of hunters through I would be reluctant to use one of these guys. Not to cool to be put in a camp that's had 6 guys hunting the week before you get there.

Look at Gunnison Country outfitters, good guy and been in the business a long time.
:D

Back Country outfitters did a good job for us. Durango, Pagosa Springs area. Beautiful Country.DG Horse Outfitters does a good job also but gets booked up fast.

Hills Guide Service out of Colbran/Grand Mesa. Have hunted second season rifle with them before. Mark does an excellent job.
