Remove those batteries!

Seems like every year I lose a piece of electronics to alkaline batteries. I\'ve moved to almost exclusively rechargeable batteries, but still found a headlamp with a couple AAA alkalones. Luckily hey weren\'t leaking...YET! I try to take all batteries out of electronics during the offseason.

So true! I go as far as to remove my headlamp batteries each time I get back to the car. I\'ve had more than one situation where my headlamp must have turned on in my gear and burned out, only to realized when I needed to use it again!

I upgraded to a HL with a lock for that very reason! (I just have to remember to check the lock now before I assume the batteries are dead and thorw away perfectly good batteries.)
