here is mine. owned it for years. i have a bigger Benchmade, but this one is small and light. opens up bagels and grapefruit with precision. spreading peanut butter; not so good :D

what is your daily pocket knife? this is mine. i dont remember what model it is. but i do think it is the first one made with a spyderco hole.

I Cary a Sheffield box knife daily at work & seldom have any other knife, but if I\'m out & about generally have one of the two pictured. I flat out love Gerber knives. I\'ve got a pile of pocket knives, but these two are my favorites to carry.think yours is bigger Brad...but mines prolly sharper.. ;)

I love most everything about this knife but wish I had not bought a partial serration and I have a screw that comes loose too damn often. I prefer a pocket clip on the butt end of the knife, not at the pivot.

I have to admit that Im not fond of a serrated edge.
Me either, but it was a gift and I didn\'t want to break her heart and exchange it. Now I wish I had because I\'m sure she would have gotten over it after 10 years and I really prefer the other blade.

i love a partial serration.

why? i worked in a tunnel. we built a hole in the ground, a mile long. two holes actually.

we would have thick ropes, and more importantly, these THICK coated canvas bulkheads to stop air from flowing where we didnt want it to..if there was a fire, you had to cut thru one to escape. every miner was issued some cheap knife. straight blade. i had all of mine. one time we had to cut some canvas..they were sawing hopelessly. i walked up and literally zipped thru it. ropes? they would yell out. \"hey, where\'s cliff?\"..that exact black knife cut 1\" rope fairly easy. one hard swipe.

serrations could have been a life saver. even dull serrations will blast thru a seatbelt.

i HATED serrations before. but some benchmade rep showed me how to keep them sharp. he suggested a competitors tool. the spyderco sharpmaker. i just drag the blade like the serrations are not even there...on the edge (triangle)of the ceramic rods. it works awesome.

my hunting knifes are all straight edge..but my EDC blade will always have serrations. but i LOVE straight blades too. i just like knives.

elky\'s reason is similar to why I have a spyderco partial serrated knife.

It was my emergency sailing knife. I used to crew for sailboat racing on CO mountain lakes. The knife was attached to me using a carabiner. It has a thumb hole in the top of the blade to open it easily with one hand. Falling into a CO mountain lake with sail or rope around you requires quick action or else you succumb to hypothermia or drowning. The serrated blade can save your life.

Right now, I have a puny swiss army knife. It\'s the smallest one they make. I started buying these to throw in my emergency backpack kits. They are multiplying and ending up everywhere. Very handy little things. Last Year, TSA was going to start allowing them and then the plan got dropped. :(

KME sharpener has a serrated blade sharpener option. You may pick it up on Amazon. Search for: KME Sharpeners KFDNF Tapered Diamond Rod for Serrated Blades. I have Magnus Stinger Buzzcut broadheads, so this option was needed for sharpening my BHs
