I just recently became a member of the Rocky Mountain elk foundation. It only costs $35 and you get a year prescription of bugle magazine. There are a few more benefits plus you are helping out the greatest North American animal there is. I'm encouraging more to join.

go to one of your local chapter dinner this year. they are a blast and you can donate more money. I do every year. You can also win some good prizes.
in the years I have gone with my dad in CA we have won two rifles a hand gun and various other prized. I'm sure we have donated way more than we have won but it's for a good cause and you get meet a lot of good folks

Banquets are a great way to support the organization and it helps your local chapter. Local chapters are a good connection between the RMEF main office and local projects that need funding. Most chapters are also looking for volunteers to help out and just being a new volunteer gets you in for a drawing.
Another bonus of going to a banquet is that you may luck out and end up getting to sit in on a calling seminar by the world champion elk caller and elk101 founder himself.

Marc_350 I don't know if it was a mistype or a purposeful substitution, but I like the term prescription rather than subscription in regards to the magazine. Extreme Elk magazine is a great prescription for elk fever too! Some side effects may include, but are not limited to; singular year round focus on wapiti, deep daydreaming sessions of what fall may hold, rereading repeatedly, additional budgeting for gear suggestions and hunt destinations, etc.
