Roosevelt Elk Western WA / Oregon Coast

I have been Archery hunting elk for 4 yrs now in western WA for the first two  years I thought Roosevelts were ghosts.  I am starting this topic to share tips and tactics strictly for Roosevelts in Washington and Oregon.  I am still in pursuit of my first bull I have had many encounters but can not seem to break the 70 yard mark. 


What are some of your go to hunting methods for Roosevelts? 


I have also had good results hunting from blinds using cow calls and tree stands but can not get the bulls in range.
