Rubber boot

I\'m looking at getting a pair of rubber hunting boots for the winter. I would like a pair with or close to 1000g of insulation. Any brand I should stay away from or things I should look for? The Lacrosse Alphaburly seem to be decent but there are a lot to choose from.

I love my Lacrosse boots and have had a couple of pair. I hear Muck makes come great ones too but I have never tried them.

Never had the heavy insulated version of Muck boots but their lighter boots are very comfortable. I wear them quite a bit bowhunting and turkey hunting in southern Missouri. You can tear the tops if you aren\'t careful but they slip on and off easy and seem much lighter than the Lacrosse boots I have compared them to.

Jarod,
The BEST rubber \'winter boot\' on the market is called the Bunny Boot

I have the LaCrosse Ice King for my cold weather hunting boot and ice fishing. I have not had cold feet in them even after slipping a foot through the ice in 15 degree weather. I wrung the water from my sock and the liner then continued to sit on the ice for a few more hours.

Lacrosse Burly\'s are my go to boot in winter. depending on activity from 400gr to 1000gr. Be aware of the fitted ankle if wearing bulky socks. The knee high burly\'s keep my pants dry and don\'t seem as clunky as pack boots.
