Forgot to start this earlier, but I?m going to try to do live updates from our antelope hunt. Four tags to fill and a day and a half to do it! :train:

The day started a little rough as our typical access point was gated off and locked. A local reservoir had too much water and part of the road was under water. Back to the maps and drawing board. Luckily we found a long way around and made it to our honey hole about 90 min ago...and sure enough, multiple herds of antelope.

Well, 3 of 4 tags filled. Guess who didn?t fill their tag... 
Long story, but I tried to fill my tag using my R-25 .308 today...let?s say it didn?t go well! Keep an eye on the classifieds :haha:
Didn?t get pics of the other two unfortunately. One was in another truck and I wasn?t with them and my dad shot his right around last light, so we got to quartering it quick and forgot a pic. Bunch of full coolers though!

Well, I decided to take one for the team today. I needed to be home early this afternoon for my kids Christmas program at school (on a Sunday!). With the added time and difficulty of accessing our area because of the locked gate, we needed to leave even earlier this morning to get there and I would have only had an hour to hunt, so I decided to reward the other three for their punched tags and let them sleep in. Having already punched a doe tag earlier this year and with a bunch of coolers full of meat, I figured I?d be a nice guy

Hahaha, no I won?t be getting rid of the big boom stick anytime soon. I should have been smart and just used that one for this trip but I thought it would be fun taking one with the R-25. Didn?t really think about the lack of fun by NOT taking one with it, lol!
