Sept 2015 Moon Phase Timing

If you could hunt just one week, would you take a new moon the middle of Sept and fight a muzzleloader season or would you hit the elk woods towards the end of Sept hoping to catch the rut but deal with a full moon?

I would take the 13th-20th of September off. The moon phase will be perfect for more daytime elk activity, and that is going to equal more daylight bugling. Even if they dont scream all day, they will be more visible than during the full moon the following week. Good luck!
