I just applied for an Archery hunt in NM units 16D, 16A and 17 for the first week in Sept does anybody have any feed back on experiences in any of those areas?

Haven't hunted that early here or those units(yet),but know them.
Before rut or early rut, bachelor groups and the big bulls coming out of hiding. Can be rainy,muddy. 17 is is very rugged. 16's tons of elk and access.
Any NM elk hunt is good and can produce great bulls,but then I'm from here and biased...... PM sent.
