For those of you who are able to go out and fill your packs with sheds each and every year, what are some tips and tricks you would recommend to folks who have never really done it before? Is it all about finding a perfect location? Do you look at specific areas within a location, i.e. along game trails, in dark timber, by scrub brush, etc? It has always seemed to me like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but then I see people who come back with a pack full of sheds and I start thinking that there has to be more to it.

Binos x2!!!!!
It\'s amazing how much they help.

My biggest tip is slow down....
Im a mover and get lost in the cover more ground, find more sheds... wrong.

Once I slowed down I realized I found a lot more.

Telling myself to slow down is like telling water not to be wet.... but I try!

Bump...heading out this weekend with the fam to shed hunt for elk antlers for the first time and could use some last min tips. Thinking about focusing on bedding areas on North facing slopes near water. Thoughts?

Im sure you already know this, but Im gonna throw it out anyways for whoever wants to pick it up.

A bedding area in the fall may not be a bedding area in the winter/early spring due to snow fall.
So if you think the place got hammered by snow, I\'d reinspect a map and find areas they would be wintering at.

Bring your amazing binos too!!!
