I had that happen to me a couple years ago on a LE UT hunt and it really killed all my scouting efforts as we saw very few elk in areas where the sheep had gone. I had a friend with me from there that had hunted it a lot and he agreed that the sheep really can mess up a hunt!
Dang Man, sorry to Hear this. This is very common in Utah & really bad, when it happens the wk of the rut or the wk of your hunt.
I have pics of Elk & Beef Cows on the same PIC, drinking and hanging out together. But SHeep usually make a lot of noise, have sheep dogs around, and all that roucus chases them out to next canyon.
I have tried to chase Beef Cows and SHeep away from my water hole and area too, that is a like hearding mesquoitos!
