You are sitting in the shadow of a tree at the edge of a meadow when you see this guy making his way down the hill toward you. You quickly grab your bow, muzzleloader, or rifle and prepare for a shot. The bull continues on and then stops right here. You are at full draw with your bow or you have your muzzleloader or rifle shouldered. The bull is 33 yards with a bow, 112 yards with a muzzleloader, or 227 yards with a rifle. Do you shoot? If so, where are you aiming? If not, what?s your plan or thought process?

If you are shooting, feel free to save the image to your computer, open it with Paint, and put a mark on the image where you would aim. Then re-attach the image with your response :upthumb:

For those of you who haven't seen the prior two scenarios, you can check them out here:

With bow, 33 yards is too far for this shot for me.  Elk is too alert looking at me and distance is too great risking him spinning and catching the arrow in the shoulder.  Make it < 20 yards and I'd shoot at the bottom of the lighter patch of hair on the neck.

With rifle or muzzleloader, dead bull.

I want to middle of body mass but below the chin far enough so that he doesn't drop his head if/when he jumps the string. Not a concern with a rifle.

I would only consider shooting with a rifle. However he is in the open. I would wait if the wind is good. Let him turn for a broadside shot and stop him with a soft mew. If he doesn't stop I am waiting. He is only getting closer.

I?m passing with my bow until he gets a little closer or gives me a better shot.

Passing with a bow even though I know it would be torture.  Muzzleloader or rifle and its on big time.

With a bow I?m waiting till he turns broadside. I believe your window to reach the vitals is the size of a softball. I can hit a softball at 33 yards but it just seems to have too many variables with a live animal. If he was 10 yards closer I?d aim at the blue dot. With a muzzy or rifle no question on firing.

I'm waiting on all three. As was said, too alert and too far. Bummer if you are at full draw but I would still wait.

I have to pass-just the picture is giving me the shakes!  And if I quit shaking whatever projectile I could throw would hit the tip of his right third-look at that thing its unreal.
