You\'re sitting in your treestand and it\'s been a rough day.
To top it off it just started raining and it\'s about 36 degrees.

You are cold and you just want a warm cup of dunkin donuts coffee and then you see movement.....

Are you seeing things? no... it\'s an albino buck and he\'s coming right to your shooting lane.
He\'s moving slow, wind is right, and you have all of the time in the world to shoot him once he enters your \"killer lane\".

20 yards out in front of you, broadside......

Well, now you are stuck with the tough choice...... do you shoot the buck or is it cursed like all of the rumors have it.....

:dk:

It is against the law to shoot a white deer in Iowa. I am going to grab my camera and shoot as much as I can and enjoy the opportunity.

Oh really? I was not even aware of that law.

I am also not shooting. I will also be pulling out my camera and taking pictures :upthumb:

I hunt Oregon so I am shooting. Being cold effects my draw strength some, but 36 degrees is not a problem. After I get the deer loaded into my pickup he will go to the meat locker. Then I will get that cup of coffee and lunch too.

If it\'s legal, I\'d definitely be shooting! I think taking something like that would be pretty cool.

Not legal in WI either. A friend of mine had a huge albino 12 pt for about 4-5 yrs that would move into his property during the rut and chase all the other bucks out. He never killed a buck for those years and saw the albino almost every day. He was VERY FRUSTRATED.

That sounds like a curse........

i\'d snap a picture and brag about that..just seeing one.

i dont think i could shoot one..legal or not. my hunting luck is suspect enough..curse or no curse. haha.

besides it is too awesome of an animal..i did however chase an albino turkey all over kingdom-come and back. no suceess.

Im glad that I would pass on them because I honestly had no idea that different states didn\'t allow the harvesting of albino deer!

I dont blame them though, Iowa and Wisconsin are probably the top rated whitetail states in the US, why come to shoot the albino deer when there are Booners behind every fence post :dance2:

I guess I don\'t understand why it\'s illegal to shoot them? Wouldn\'t the wildlife department want to get rid of those genes? Seems a little strange to me... :dk:

Derek, I don\'t know, but this is just a guess. Usually when an albino deer is killed, it\'s an anti-hunter field day.....
I mean they come from the woodworks to cause an uproar about it.

I am sure that is not the reason, but I definitely know it doesn\'t help.

I forget the location, but a 12 year old shot a town albino deer last year.
100% legal and very clean kill, but MAN did people go nuts...
