You guys didn\'t think I was going to make this any easier did you

You\'re 25 feet away on the ground behind some good cover.
This is home turf, your honey hole and you know it well.

The only issue is it\'s the rut and you have not seen this deer before.

You\'ve been catching 100\" deer all season and you can\'t stop noticing that junk on his rack.....
(My heart would be racing with excitement)

You have a cross wind of about 10 mph going west to east and it\'s not blowing right now.

Your main shooting lane is about 15 yards ahead of this buck, but the hot doe that just brought him into your area just went straight out and you are thinking this is your only shot......

Are you shooting?

Dead deer, except it\'s not during legal shooting hours.

You assume everybody is a bow trophy hunter. ;)

No no no!
It\'s just really hard to create scenarios for gun hunters.
More often than not a gun hunters has more opportunities to shoot verse the bow hunter.

Yes, but all these threads are aimed at bow hunters. I can only answer for myself. A non bow hunter.

I\'m sure you all know by now that my answers will be while hunting a muzzleloader.

For sure! We all know you are the seasoned muzzleloader hunter and are still very appreciative when you post in these.

I\'ve never muzzleloader hunted and I pay attention to your responses.

For example on the last one I did you said you were shooting with you gun while I said I was shooting with my bow!

That certainly got my looking more into it and checking myself and putting myself into that position as a gun hunter.

No one hunter is better than the other and we should all be learning from each other to grow!

For the purposes of this thread, it\'s still shooting hours on the deer :)

You also have to keep in mind i\'m very fussy about taking a shot, and will pass on some shots they others might take. It was driven into me as a youngster, and i\'ve stayed with it. Perfect record of no lost game, so I can\'t say my dad was wrong in his teachings.

I\'ll admit it\'s very hard to not pull the trigger sometimes, but i\'d feel horrible if I failed, and wounded an animal.

25 yards. Chip shot. But half a second later it becomes really low hanging fruit. I\'m at full draw mumbling to myself a motivational speech , bare minimum.

That\'s a gimme unless I missed something. If he stops here I\'ll shoot otherwise I\'ll stop him in my planned lane

I don\'t think you missed anything. I am shooting at this all day too.

My shuttle T would find it\'s home.

I\'m a shootin too.
Its ok Dan to post shoot/don\'t shoot questions for bow hunters. After all, everyone is welcome to start their own thread. Pete had a picture of the elk on their migration. If I get a drone maybe I can mount a gun on it, and use that picture for my first shoot/don\'t shoot scenario.
