i\'m gonna wack a turkey with my pellet rifle. 99% sure it will be from a ground blind, while hunting over some decoys.

got me thinking about a steady rest for my rifle. i\'ve taken a few shot while resting the gun from the blind window and it is less than ideal.
so i started looking at tripods. holy $$!! i then started looking at using my old camera tripod (think my spotting scope one is too short) and found this for $5.

in the spirit of not getting reamed by shipping, and being all \"manly\" and making things. i searched the office junk pile. (aka, my co-workers desk) and i found this!! correct 1/4x20 thread and everything. (confirmed with an old camera) if i can find some JBweld in my garage, i am gonna make this for free..hahah.

Cliff,

I have an old DSLR tripod that I don\'t use anymore. It looks like it ranges from 12\"-40\".....
Want it? It could be part of this manly build.

thanks, but i have a very good. (too good for this duty) tripod from my photography school days.

and you CAN almost glue your fingers together with JBweld. phew!!
